Council Pre Cyclone Clean Up - 5 October
For the fourth year, I assisted with one of the work crew in Council's pre cylone clean up. Our crew of Peter, (supervisor), Damo, Allan and Webster were tasked to do the heavy pick ups that had been rung through during the week.
It was certainly an intersting day. We picked up fridges, washing machines, box trailers and even a satellite dish!
The second day of the cleanup will be oin Sunday 19 October and will cover all those suburbs west of Rapid Creek including the city area.

About Me
Name: Allan Mitchell
Location: Anula, Darwin NT, Australia
I am an Alderman on the Darwin City Council, NT Australia and one of three elected members who represent the Waters Ward in the Northern Suburbs of Darwin.
I have lived in the NT for 37 years, arriving in 1971 for what I thought would be a two year stint in the NT Police. I retired from the police in 2002 after 31 years service.
My children, both born in the Territory have now left and live in Sydney.
My desire on being elected to council in 2004 was to be the local alderman, dealing in local issues and being accessible to the residents I represent. Almost four years on, I maintain that basic principle, whilst ensuring an all-round understanding of local government.
